A TOURNIQUET IS A M-U-S-T...! The tourniquet (for those who don't know) is the rope-like object that can be applied to someone who has been shot and is bleeding out. The flow of blood exiting the body means that LIFE is leaving the body - and death is soon approaching. Applying the tourniquet could possibly save the bleeding victim from dying. You must have a tourniquet, and you MUST know how to use it. You must have this item strategically placed somewhere in your sanctuary, church office, and other places you deem necessary. I was truly grateful for the van that this dear lady gave to my family and I. It was the color of our choice and easily seated seven people. She had seen me on TBN and felt that the Lord told her to give me her van! I couldn’t believe it. I remember the day she brought it to our house. We were overwhelmed.

But I have come to learn that God is in everything I do, and it pleases Him greatly when I respond to whatever call I am sent to - and do so with a good attitude.
People everywhere are asking"WHY?" They want to know how a person could do what was done in the church in South Carolina. How could a man enter a church, sit for an hour, and then open fire on the attendees?
I am always intrigued by the fact that people ask "why?" Those who study scripture know that there's an answer to "why?

Last Sunday I (Jimmy Meeks) woke up early - real early. I wanted to go see my friend Dave who lives in another state. Dave was one of my field training officers 30 years ago when I landed my present job. He has since retired, and leads a team of sheepdogs at his church. He has attended several of our seminars, and is a firm believer in what we teach.
I (Jimmy Meeks) conducted my first "church safety seminar" in May of 2009. At the end of that day, I assumed my "seminars" were over with. I did not anticipate that 6 plus years later I would still be leading in these seminars. I have now participated in over 100 such gatherings, all across America. As of May of this year (2015), I have already travelled over 12,500 miles. Well over a thousand churches have participated.
From time to time I am asked, “Jimmy, where is your faith? Why can’t you just trust God to protect you – and teach the churches to do likewise?”
One lady even told me that if a shooter enters the sanctuary, we should just, “…rebuke him in the name of Jesus, and hold him down until the police arrive” (I didn’t make this up – someone actually told us this).
This is beyond disturbing. And I am not sure how we should respond to this. I have just read a response from Franklin Graham. Here are his words:
